A minor pentatonic
Five notes: A C D E G.
The minor pentatonic is a five-note scale. Every glowing bead on this neck is one of those five notes, up to the 17th fret.
Box 1 · frets 5 to 8
Start with one shape.
Box 1 sits between the 5th and 8th frets, two notes on every string. The A notes, the roots, glow red.
Boxes 2 to 5
Then the next shape, and the next.
Each box starts where the last one ends: at the 8th, 10th, 12th and 15th frets.
